For the Ladies & Gents Athlete of the year, we have decided to implement a points scoring system. The system takes into account your age, distance covered and the time you ran according to your age and distance. This is very easy and self explanatory (see Points System Spreadsheet)
When you do races please mail Roland at

the race and time you did, together with your category, such as Senior, Veteran, Master or Grand Master. This enables everyone to compete for "Athlete of the Year". People who run many races, with reasonable time can compete with those quickies and speedsters.
We as a club will record these runs and times during the year.
As a committee, we look forward to everyone's participation.
And remember if you don't hand in your results you only have yourself to blame!! |

Thanks a lot for visiting our website! It indicates that you may be considering joining a running club.
Often runners and walkers, who love their sport, wonder if there is any advantage to joining a club. They tend to take part in the odd races with temporary licenses, participating in plain clothes. When deliberating whether or not to join a club - the points to consider are:

Whether you are a newcomer to road races, whether you are a runner, jogger or racewalker, follow these guidelines to make the experience as pleasant and memorable (for the right reasons) as possible.
- To ensure you are easily identifiable, pin your race number on as directed. The normal format is your race number on the front and your CGA license number on the back of your vest/top.
- Pay attention to announcements made at the start area and make sure you are in the correct starting group for the race that you have entered, i.e. 10 or 21km, running or walking race. Different distances often start at different times, especially on bigger events.
